“Face” began as an experiment in black and white. Using a chopstick and diluted acrylic, I made intuitive marks without aiming for a subject. At one point a face appeared in the abstraction, and I followed that moment of recognition. After that first piece, I continued exploring the same technique more intentionally, letting new faces emerge from the same mix of chance and control.
